Belk Acquires Sales Factory

GREENSBORO, N.C. (Feb. 10, 2026) — Sales Factory, a leading marketing and insights agency headquartered in Greensboro, announces a change in ownership and leadership. Rob Belk, a local entrepreneur and business leader, has acquired the company and assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer. Former CEO Ged King will remain with the company as Chief Revenue Officer and Equity Partner, focusing on new business development and supporting the leadership transition.

Belk brings a diverse background in ecommerce consulting, retail, supply chain, and product marketing, along with a strong commitment to Greensboro and its business community. Belk’s family has a four-generation legacy in business and in serving customers in retail, an experience that closely aligns with Sales Factory’s core retail expertise.

“Rob brings fresh energy, a growth mindset, and a strong alignment with the values that have defined Sales Factory,” said Ged King. “He understands our business, believes in our people, and shares our long-term commitment to this community.”

Under King’s leadership, Sales Factory has earned widespread recognition for both growth and culture. The company is a six-time honoree on the Triad Business Journal’s Fast 50 list, a five-time Inc. 5000 honoree, and was named the North Carolina Family Business of the Year by the Triad Business Journal in 2017. The company has also been featured on Inc. magazine’s Best in Business list. In 2023, Sales Factory was named a Family Forward NC® Certified Employer, reflecting its commitment to workplace flexibility, family support, and employee well-being.

Belk was particularly drawn to the company’s knowledge of Trades Professionals and Home Center retail. He is excited to continue investing in the company’s Trades Pro Pulse product, which centers on a community of hundreds of Trades Pros that provide consumer insights, product feedback, and content creation on behalf of brands.  He has expressed a deep respect for the agency’s people-first culture and is committed to maintaining the strength of its benefits, flexible work schedules, and collaborative environment.

“This is a company with deep roots and a remarkable track record,” said Belk. “I see Sales Factory as a long-term home, one where we’ll continue to invest in our people, our clients, our community, and our capabilities. I’m honored to serve our employees and clients in this next chapter alongside an exceptional team with support from Ged.”

Survey results from November 2025 highlight the strength of Sales Factory’s culture and client relationships. Employees reported an average happiness score of 7.2 out of 10, a rating considered excellent within the agency world, underscoring high satisfaction with the company’s culture, flexibility, and work-life balance.
